Dear Kickin' It Dance Company Families,
It is with a very full and emotional heart that I share some important news with all of you. After 36 years in the dance industry and 28 incredible years of owning Kickin' It Dance Company, I have made the difficult decision to step into retirement and begin the next chapter of Kickin' It Dance Company under new ownership.
I am truly excited to introduce The Hive Dance Studio (Jentri Crawford and Tammy Pilcher) as the next chapter of Kickin' It Dance Company at our Sandy location. My greatest hope was to find someone who would care for our dancers and families with the same love and commitment that has always been at the heart of KDC, and I truly believe I have found that. I am confident this transition will keep our dancers in a familiar, supportive, and inspiring environment.
The Hive brings fresh energy, new ideas, and a strong passion for helping every dancer grow in confidence, friendships, and love of dance. Families can look forward to exciting class offerings, inspiring performances, and a continued positive, family-centered environment.
I'm also grateful that most of our current staff and teachers plan to remain in place, helping ensure a smooth and comforting transition. Our dancers will continue to see many familiar faces, traditions, and friendships that have made KDC feel like home. I truly believe the future is bright, and I can't wait to see all that these dancers accomplish in the years ahead.
Kickin' It Dance Company has always been so much more than just a dance studio—it has been a family, a home, and a place filled with unforgettable memories. Watching your children grow not only as dancers, but as people, has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
To our staff and parents, thank you for the love, trust, and support you have given me over the past 28 years. And to our dancers—you have always been the heart of KDC. Your passion, friendships, dedication, and love for dance are what made this studio so special.
While this chapter is closing for me, I know this is the beginning of something very special for all of you. I have full confidence The Hive will continue to nurture, inspire, and support these incredible dancers for years to come.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for 28 unforgettable years of memories, community, and love. Thank you for trusting me with your children over the years and allowing me to be a part of their lives. It has truly been the honor of a lifetime. Each and every one of you will always hold a very special place in my heart, and I can't wait to watch these amazing dancers continue to grow and thrive with The Hive Dance Studio.
